The NASA Wallops Visitor Center is the place to explore the past, present, and future of NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. The Visitor Center offers many great exhibits as testimony to the amazing things done at Wallops in addition to serving as a prime viewing location for rocket launches! The Visitor Center is located on VA RT 175 near Chincoteague Island, Virginia and is the perfect stop for your next Eastern Shore trip. Admission is free - stop by today!

This is a hidden FREE gem on your way to Chincoteague island, which in its small museum offers informative exhibits, knowledgeable & friendly, staff. This is superb educational stop, for space enthusiasts and their families. The grounds surrounding the museum, have many rockets available for viewing. The have an elevator to carry you to the roof top, providing a great area view and the Military has a practice field close by and frequently fly over this site. You will be educated about many significant projects and missions carried out at Wallops. They offer videos and interactive areas that are very engaging. They have a nice gift shop to purchase patches, clothing and other souvenirs. Please check hours of operation, they aren't open but a few days a week.

A very nice museum experience awaits you at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility Visitors Center! The displays and grounds were nice and we liked the interactive displays- especially the interactive earth model! The employees at the information desk and in the gift shop were very friendly and helpful. The presentations in the theater were very informative. We loved the gift shop and the model rockets around the facility! This is a nice place to spend an hour when visiting the Chincoteague area!

What a great stop along our way. We spent several hours at Wallops Visitor Center and found the displays informative and the staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the videos and wished there were more! They did a great job explaining the work being done on the base.
