Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club offers one of the area's most unique and memorable golf experiences on the Eastern Shore and is located in Ocean View, Delaware, just 3 miles west of Bethany Beach. Winding bentgrass fairways are lined with native wetland grasses that drift into stunning sand dunes on this natural golf course. Impeccably groomed oversized greens and four strategically placed sets of tees beckon golfers of every skill level. After just a few minutes at this facility, you will see why these 27 holes of scenic beauty are the locals' favorite.

A former associate of Jack Nicholas, course architect Rick Jacobson has won acclaim for his course designs. In Rick’s own words, “Bear Trap Dunes is visually unique because of its ample use of sand dunes – adhering to the coastal area’s natural terrain. Because of strategically placed dunes, grassy hollows, bunkers and water hazards, players will have to ‘think’ their way through each hole."

Just paid $72 dollars times 3 for myself and daughter and son. Starts thundering and lightning around hole 4. No horn blown by the pro shop to get players off the course. Course is soaked and should be played on as the greens and fairways are hacked up. We play it safe and quit our round. Come back into clubhouse and ask for rain checks and the pro shop manager says they do not do rain checks for twilight hours. So $210 for 4 holes it was we got for our money. I also ask if the pro shop ever blows the horn when thunderstorms approach. The guy said I didn’t even know it was raining outside. Terrible experience and customer service.

I frequent this golf course because it is well maintained, the staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I am new to the game so I was nervous going out alone but the staff made me feel very comfortable going out my first time alone.

The driving range is nice, as well as the putting green area. I love the fact that it has 3 different 9 hole courses to play. It is a challenging course for me as a beginner but not impossible.

Great layout with large greens. Greens have subtle breaks which can be a challenge to putt. Fairways were the plushest we played here in April. Staff are friendly and very helpful making the whole experience very enjoyable.
