If you’re looking for a place with a great view and a fun happy hour menu then 45th Street Taphouse Bar & Grille is a great place to check out.
A bit of a mixed review here so I’ll start with the positives first. The sunset here is absolutely amazing and worth checking out just for that. The happy hour menu was really affordable and showcased how great their menu can be. The service was pretty nice. Walker, our bartender was knowledgeable about the menu, area and all around friendly guy. This alone I would recommend anyone to come here and give this place a try.
Now onto the negatives and sadly there are some here. Their menu has a lot of good food and some mediocre food. All of which cost a pretty penny, which I don’t mind spending when the food is great. I heard first hand that they are using a new chef and he is still working out the kinks on the menu. This makes for some really creative food that tastes great and leaves other dishes feeling a bit incomplete. Their beer braised chicken was just about fantastic aside from the chicken itself not really being all that tender. The fish and chips were pretty tasty, but the buffalo parm sandwich is probably what you want to order here to get your moneys worth. Their menu has a strong potential.
Despite some minor disappointment it wouldn’t stop me from coming back to take advantage of their happy hour and having a fire chicken sandwich to wrap up the evening.

Our first stop in OC based on our AirBNb recommendation, a truly vast beer, Cider, etc menu that didn't disappoint. We ordered the creamy crab soup each and wings, with both blue cheese and ranch dressing, and some local beers. Alice was quick to take our order and return with the drinks and cold glasses of water and was back with our order in about 10 minutes. The crab soup was excellent and the wings were good, though we don't live that far from Buffalo, so they had some stiff competition on that front. The bay view was excellent, per the other reviews, but we really liked the food and Alice, our waitress, was very personable and efficient. Happy Birthday Alice! Cheers!

Visited this location for the first time in May. Been to the West OC location, so knew the food would be good.
Atmosphere makes this restaurant worth visiting. Right on the bay with a beautiful view for majority of the tables (excluding the bar area) and outdoor seating available.
Food was good overall. Wings were excellent (lemon pepper and mild), flatbread was average. I had the half roast chicken, which was rotisserie style with the meat just falling off the bone (crisping up the skin would have made it even better), with smoked mashed potatoes and carrots - all delightful. Everyone was happy with their meals and the prices were fair. Good happy hour deals too, but we were not drinking that evening.
Would definitely come again!
